Custom Jewelry Policy

1. Overview
At Since Love Jewelry, many of our jewelry pieces are custom made or made-to-order to reflect each customer’s unique vision.Because custom jewelry is specially designed and crafted for an individual customer, different policies apply compared to ready-to-ship products.Please review the custom order process and policy below before placing a custom jewelry order.
2. Custom Jewelry Process
Our custom jewelry process typically follows the steps below.
Step 1 — Design Consultation
Customers discuss their design ideas with our team, including:
  • Diamond or gemstone selection
  • Ring style and setting
  • Metal type (18K gold, platinum, etc.)
  • Ring size and customization details
Our team will help refine the design and provide professional recommendations.
Step 2 — Payment Options
Customers may choose one of the following payment options when placing a custom jewelry order.Full Payment (Recommended)Customers may pay the full amount upfront. This allows the order to move directly into the design and production process without delay.Full payment is recommended because it simplifies the order process and helps avoid delays.Deposit PaymentCustomers may choose to pay a 50% deposit to begin the custom design process.The remaining balance must be paid before shipment once the jewelry is completed.The deposit becomes non-refundable once the order enters production after CAD approval.
Step 3 — CAD Design
After payment or deposit is received, our designers will create a CAD (Computer-Aided Design) rendering of the jewelry.The CAD design shows the structure, proportions, and details of the final piece.Customers may request reasonable adjustments before approval.
Step 4 — CAD Approval
Once the CAD design is approved by the customer, the order will move into production.Production begins only after CAD approval.At this stage:
  • Materials are allocated
  • Manufacturing begins
  • The order can no longer be canceled
Step 5 — Production
The jewelry will then enter production, which typically includes:
  • Metal casting
  • Stone setting
  • Polishing and finishing
  • Quality inspection
Production usually takes 2–4 weeks depending on design complexity.
Step 6 — Final Confirmation
Once the jewelry is completed, we will provide photos or videos of the finished piece.The remaining balance (if applicable) must be paid before shipment.
3. Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel a custom order before CAD approval.In this case:
  • The deposit may be refunded.
  • A CAD design fee may be deducted to cover design work already completed.
Once the CAD design has been approved, the order enters production and cannot be canceled.
4. Custom Jewelry Return Policy
Because custom jewelry is specially made for each customer, custom jewelry orders are final sale and not eligible for return or refund.Exceptions may apply only if:
  • The item arrives damaged.
  • The item is significantly different from the approved CAD design.
5. Final Payment Requirement
Once the jewelry is completed, customers will receive final confirmation.If the remaining balance is not paid within 14 days of notification, the order may be considered abandoned.In such cases:
  • The deposit will not be refunded.
  • Since Love Jewelry reserves the right to resell or repurpose the item.
6. Diamond and Material Sourcing
Diamonds or gemstones selected for custom orders may be reserved or sourced specifically for the customer.Once sourcing or reservation has begun, these materials may no longer be available for cancellation or exchange.
7. Design Revision Policy
Customers may request reasonable design adjustments during the CAD stage.Excessive or repeated revision requests may incur additional design fees.
8. Production Timeline
Custom jewelry requires time for material sourcing, manufacturing, and quality inspection.Typical production time is 2–4 weeks.By approving the CAD design, customers acknowledge and accept the estimated production timeline.
9. Natural Characteristics of Jewelry
Lab-grown diamonds and gemstones may contain natural inclusions or characteristics.These features do not affect the durability or beauty of the jewelry and are not considered defects.
10. Chargeback Protection
If a chargeback is initiated after a custom order has entered production or after CAD approval, Since Love Jewelry reserves the right to provide documentation to the payment provider, including:
  • Order confirmation
  • CAD approval records
  • Production records
  • Communication history
Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent restriction from future purchases.
